ARTIST/CRAFTS-PERSON–IN–RESIDENCE
Azincourt, Pas-de-Calais, France.
3-12 months duration

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for artisans/crafts-people to spend 3-12 months making and selling their wares in France.

The Medieval Folk Museum in the beautiful village of Azincourt, Pas-de-Calais (site of the famous 1415 battle of Agincourt) is expanding from May 2006 to encompass workshops for English and French artisans.

Artisans will have:-
  • Free accommodation
  • Free use of newly constructed workshops and utilities.
  • Opportunity to sell their wares to the anticipated growing number of visitors to the Centre. The Centre receives a large number of British visitors as well as other nationalities.

Applicants must have an established skill or craft which existed in Medieval times, or a modern day development/derivative (further details can be supplied on request).

There is no requirement for applicants to speak French, although a willingness to learn would help as you will be living and working alongside your French counterparts.
